New faces

Among the early arrivals on Sunday in Cubs camp was Milton Bradley, who was eager to get started and take batting practice. Position players don’t have to report until Tuesday. Also in camp is outfielder Reed Johnson, who dropped 14 pounds this offseason by changing his diet. The only pitcher missing is Luis Vizcaino, acquired in the Jason Marquis deal with Colorado. Vizcaino is having visa problems.

What are the chances Bradley will play more than 100 games this year? As an avid Cubs fan (as well as fantasy baseball player) this question interests me for multiple reasons. He can easily hit 25 homeruns, 100 RBI, have a .400 OBP and a .650 SLG in my opinion, but thats if he plays 125-150 games. Also, any idea what order the lineup will look like now that DeRosa is out, Soriano still wants to lead off, and Soto has too much power and pop (as well as doubles/RBI ability) to bat 6th or 7th consistently? Think it’s time to move D-Lee down, protect Ramirez with Bradley and Soto at the 3 and 5 holes?

Milton will be healthy, but he’ll get 30-35 days of rest. If you wanna know why he’s so injury-prone, it’s because he trys so hard to win that his body wares down and gets and get vulnerable. -Phil Wilson
