All position players reported to Cubs camp Tuesday — with the exception of Kosuke Fukudome, who is training with the Japan team for the World Baseball Classic. Some news: Aramis Ramirez says he will skip the World Baseball Classic and stay in the Cubs camp. That means the Cubs expected to play in the event now include Geovany Soto (Puerto Rico), and Derrek Lee and Ted Lilly (U.S. team).
Also, Alfonso Soriano says he’s OK with Lou Piniella’s suggestion that he will move the left fielder from the leadoff spot in the order. More on that later.
