It's pronounced hof-POWER
Micah Hoffpauir likes getting the at-bats but doesn’t necessarily want to be the ironman of the Cactus League. Hoffpauir, who started Friday at first base for the Cubs against Texas, hit a three-run homer, his second this spring, in a seven-run second inning.
Lou Piniella says he’s trying to keep some power in the lineup, and Hoffpauir has come through. On Friday against the Rangers, Mike Fontenot delivered, and smacked a two-run homer and two-run-triple.

why doesnt lou move micah to left field, and put soriano back in center…..i think that would be way better than fukudome or reed johnson
that would be good offensively BUT you also have to think about the defense
Hoffpauir is a hitter, need to find a way to get him in the line-up daily. I love D Lee… but he has to be looking over his shoulder!
Lou is lucky he has the options he does. He will figure it out and bring the best back to Chi-town and get it done. I just know every player in spring training better bring his “A” game or stay in the minors where you belong. And NO picking on Reed Johnson. The guy plays “balls out ” baseball and is deserving of serious playing time! You heard it here first “D.lee will have his best year ever this season, I had a dream. . . . .
