Cubs catcher Paul Bako was sporting a large bandage on his nose in Thursday’s game in Las Vegas. What happened? Bako’s mask accidently cut the bridge of his nose as he made a throw to second. The only bandage handy was larger than what was needed, so players decorated it with his No. 24 and added a few logos. Some of his teammates even put bandages on the bridge of their noses in support of Bako.
Speaking of bloody noses, the Cubs can only hope they avoid them now that a punching bag has been installed in the workout room. Maybe it’s to develop their fighting spirit.
