Hop to it
Alfonso Soriano had a new variation on his hop Saturday. In the Brewers’ first inning, J.J. Hardy lofted a ball to left that Soriano missed. The ball bounced into the Cubs’ bullpen, and Soriano jumped over the fence to retrieve it and throw home. Hardy was safe at third with a triple.
