4/30 No DL for Ramirez

The Cubs will continue to play shorthanded because Aramis Ramirez was not put on the disabled list Thursday. Ramirez ran in the outfield with both Lou Piniella and athletic trainer Mark O’Neal watching, and the team decided not to put the third baseman on the DL. If they did, he would not be available until the Milwaukee series, and Ramirez was expected back before then. The team was prepared. Infielder Bobby Scales was at Wrigley just in case.

Sad to say – the Cubs were short a lot more than a full 25 man roster on Thursday night.

Also missing again was any meaningful offense, a major league defense and a bullpen.

They did have an excellent starting pitcher

Imagine what the starter must be thinking…NO production from Lee, NO qualified back up for Ramirez who everybody BUT Hendry knew at one point would be hurt, NO solid defense in right field and if they happen to make it to the 7th inning and run out of gas…NO BULLPEN HELP.
The best news for these guys would be the firing of Hendry.

This is insanity.

when will the Cubs stop playing with that ugly blue top.they are using it almost everyday now. what happen with the home team uniform.

Huh? right, the UNIFORM is the big concern. You’re bustin’ our chops, right????

There is no intensity in the team this year. I hope they get their act together.Letting D Rosa and Blanco was a bad move.Blanco was a experienced catcher that could help the staff even on the bench.

Nice save jimmyw64! You’ve atoned for your “uniform” comment.
