Cajun power
Ryan Theriot’s teammates gave the shortstop the silent treatment when he returned to the dugout Saturday after hitting his second homer this season. Theriot, who hit a grand slam on Friday, connected in the first inning off Florida’s Anibal Sanchez. As he returned to the dugout, he received a high five from Lou Piniella, but his teammates ignored him. At least at first, then they congratulated him. Maybe the Cubs have a new power hitter?
It’s the first time in Theriot’s career he has hit back to back blasts. His season high for home runs is three.

“Maybe the Cubs have a new power hitter?” What, are you kidding me? Sports writer should not try to be comedians. He has 8 carer homers. Great timing for his last one though.
Yo, chieft22 — lighten up. It’s baseball. Enjoy the moment; enjoy the game.
