The Riot

Ryan Theriot is one home run shy of tying his career high of three, set in 2006 and ’07. In ’07, he didn’t hit his second homer until the 79th game. The shortstop had gone 620 at-bats without a home run before connecting on Friday, and now has hit blasts in back to back games. The last player to have a longer homerless streak broken by going deep in consecutive games was Gene Clines, who had gone 1,079 at-bats without a homer before hitting back to back long balls May 16-17, 1977, against the Padres.

Carrie, why in God’s name would you have to bring up Gene Clines? That’s just reminding Hendry to sign HIM to play right field.

Did Theriot change his stance? I don’t remember him pivoting his front foot like that… what ever he is doing though, he should keep it up! Go Riot!

Yer killin’ me joeydafish…Ya think Hendry may be lame enough to make HIMSELF the very first PLAYER-GM and we’ll see HIM in right field?
