5/4 Lineup & Zambrano update
Carlos Zambrano was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain. Infielder Bobby Scales was called up from Triple-A Iowa and added to the 25-man roster. Zambrano was expected to miss at least two weeks. Right-hander Randy Wells was expected to be called up for next Friday’s game in Milwaukee to take Zambrano’s spot in the rotation.
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez was back in the lineup Monday. It’ll be LF Soriano, SS Theriot, RF Bradley, 1B Lee, 3B Ramirez, C Soto, CF Johnson, 2B Miles and P Dempster.
Make sure you bring a jacket if you’re coming to Wrigley Field. It’s cooler by the lake.

Carrie:
It seems the Cubs have lots of troubles identifying 1st round draft picks – and thru the 5th – that will make the “big” club. did our best scout leave in 2002?:
2000 Wellemeyer and Willis – yes
2001 Prior, Sisco, Nolasco – yes
2002 Hagerty, Brownlie, Blasko, Clanton – nope
2003 none in 1st 5 rounds – nope S. Marshall (6th) – yes
2004 Johnson (2), Shaver (4) – nope Atkins (7)maybe
2005 Pawelek, Veal(2) – nope
2006 Samardzija (5) yes
2007 none in the first 5 rounds
Heard the wind is also blowing in. Should be a low scoring game. Go Giants!
