6/23 CWS update
DJ LeMahieu, the Cubs’ second-round pick in the June First-Year Player Draft, helped LSU beat top-seed Texas, 7-6, in 11 innings Monday in the College World Series. LeMahieu homered in the seventh and hit a two-out, two-run double in the ninth to tie the score and force extra innings. He then scored the game-winning run on Mikie Mathook’s single with two outs in the 11th. This was the opening game of the best-of-three championship final in Omaha. The two teams meet again Tuesday night.

Has he signed with the Cubs yet? Should we care before he does?
What we should care about is how Lou singal handedly stopped another win streak for the Cubs! Every time they get some steam.. Lou thinks half the team needs a rest. Don’t they have 5 months in the OFFSEASON to rest?? Lou has forgotten that you play to WIN.. not to have a day at the ballpark. I am not sure what happened to Lou this year.. but he clearly is not the manager of the past couple years.
I agree that until he signs with the Cubs it probably isn’t important compared to the teams struggles. It was however a much more entertaining ball game than the pathetic 2-0 loss against the Braves. I still can’t believe Lou let Demp bat for himself late in a 1 run ball game, bad decision.
