6/29 Vitters to Daytona

Josh Vitters is moving up. Vitters will join Class A Daytona on Tuesday. He had been playing for Class A Peoria, and was batting .316 with 15 homers and 46 RBIs in 70 games. The third baseman, who was the Cubs’ No. 1 pick in 2007, will compete in the All-Star Futures Game for the U.S. team as well.

Of course…the day that I am supposed to see him play the Kane County Cougars and get an autograph on a Major League Ball, he joins Daytona…. Good for him, but unlucky for me.

Couldn’t just wait one more day? I feared this day would come.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Was actually hoping the Ram might stop by for a couple at bats while Peoria’s in town this week.
