7/4 Ramirez, Johnson & Guzman

Aramis Ramirez and Reed Johnson each had one hit Friday night for Class A Peoria in their first rehab outings. Ramirez doubled in the first, and scored on Kyler Burke’s single in the Chiefs’ 7-1 win over Kane County in front of nearly 15,000 fans. Reed went 1-for-2 with a single and scored in the third.

In Des Moines, Angel Guzman started for Triple-A Iowa and threw 1 1/3 innings in a 7-1 win over Oklahoma City. Guzman gave up one hit, walked one, and struck out one, throwing 25 pitches, 15 for strikes.

Ramirez and Johnson continue their rehabs at Peoria Saturday and Sunday, and all three players could be activated as early as Monday.
