7/8 Soto update

Geovany Soto was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup because of a mild left oblique strain he felt during batting practice. Soto will undergo an MRI later Wednesday. The Cubs do have Thursday off, but then play four games in three days this weekend against the Cardinals, including Sunday’s day-night doubleheader. Koyie Hill is strong, but won’t be starting both games. The Cubs expected to have a better idea as to the extent of Soto’s injury on Friday.

Something is in the water and the baseball gods are not shining upon us. Can the Cubs catch a break and have a healthy team for more than a day? Seems like everything is going against this team. Maybe with nothing lining up right so far this season it will in the second half and in october.
