7/10 Soto – a technicality

Cubs catcher Geovany Soto has not officially been placed on the disabled list yet. The team wanted to wait until it could make a corresponding roster move. Soto will go to Arizona on Sunday to begin his rehab. The Cubs are looking outside of the organization for backup help at catcher.

Handicapped by Hendry…again.
Hey, let’s try playing with 20 on the roster! See what happens, maybe save on laundry, air fare etc. Hendry should be able trade 4 or 5 guys and receive NOTHING for them, after all he is his own brilliant GM. Did Hendry check to see if Sandberg “officially” retired? Maybe he can play second base. Geez.
