8/3 Lineup & Ramirez update
Aramis Ramirez is back in the Cubs’ lineup for Monday’s series opener vs. the Reds. His left forearm is still a little swollen where he was hit by a pitch Saturday night, but Ramirez took a few swings and said he was ready to go. The lineup will be:
CF Fukudome
SS Theriot
1B Lee
3B Ramirez
RF Bradley
LF Soriano
2B Fontenot
C Hill
P Wells
– Carrie Muskat

Cubs played a great game yesterday again: 4-2.
I’m not confusing Randy Wells PITCHING
a great game with the Cubs PLAYING a great game.
They left the bases loaded with one out and couldn’ bring in one run and Marmol couldn’t shut the Reds down in the ninth making everybody sweat again. When Fontenot is the loan major offensive run producer the only thing great about the game is that they won. That is great and I am grateful for Fontenot coming through in a game when Soriano does not. Lee keeps contributing but it was not
a game they played great.
