8/3 Rookie trivia

Randy Wells won his fourth straight start Monday night. Kerry Wood was the last Cubs rookie pitcher to win four in a row, doing so April 30-May 17, 1998.

Since 1910, the most consecutive starts with a win by a Cubs rookie are:

8: Larry Cheney, Aug. 18-Sept. 17, 1912
7: King Cole, July 24-Aug. 25, 1910
5: King Cole, May 16-June 8, 1910
5: Hank Wyse, July 3-July 28, 1943
5: Jeremi Gonzalez, June 23-July 16, 1997

Thanks again to Ed Hartig for looking it up.
