8/12 Lilly update
Ted Lilly threw 58 pitches, 45 for strikes, over five innings for Class A Peoria Wednesday night. The left-hander, rehabbing from an inflamed shoulder, gave up two singles in the first inning, walked one and struck out two. He also had a four-pitch fourth inning.
If Lilly recovers well from the outing, he’ll be back in the Cubs rotation Monday night against San Diego.
