On Friday, Derrek Lee became the third player in the last 20 years with a seven-plus RBI game without hitting a home run. The other two were Joe Girardi, who did so for the Yankees on Aug. 23, 1999, vs. Texas, and the Rockies’ Jeff Cirillo on Aug. 12, 2000, vs. Montreal.
The only other Cubs in the last 50 years to knock in at least six RBIs in a game
without a home run was Paul Pako against the Reds on Aprill 3, 2003.
