10/3 Minor matters
The Cubs honored Kyler Burke and Casey Coleman, the Cubs’ Minor League player and pitcher of the year, during pre-game ceremonies Saturday. They also honored trainer Nick Frangella as the Minor League athletic trainer of the year, and Ryne Sandberg, who led Double-A Tennessee to the Southern League championship. No. 1 pick Brett Jackson also attended the ceremony, his first visit to Wrigley since he was drafted in June.
Burke batted .303 with 43 doubles, three triples, 15 homers and 89 RBIs at Class A Peoria. He was acquired by the Cubs in June 2007 from San Diego for Michael Barrett. Coleman, a 15th round pick in 2008, was 14-6 with a 3.68 ERA in 27 starts for Tennessee.

WHAT HAPPEN TO KERRY WOOD IN 2009 AND WHERE WILL HE BE IN 2010.
ALSO WHERE IS MARK PRIOR, DID HE EVER PLAY IN 2009?
WHERE IS KERRY WOOD AND MARK PRIOR IN 2009
Wood languished in Cleveland all of 2009, Prior and his 10 million dollar “sign me instead of Joe Mauer” bonus money tried to get healthy in SanDiego but never did. I wonder what kind of payroll one would have if adding up all the millions of dollars Hendry WASTED. Just Prior’s, Bradley’s, Fukodome’s, Miles’ and Gregg’s may more than double some teams such as the Rays, Reds, Marlins…????
Who knows, maybe Hendry in all his genius will trade Bradley for Prior, oh wait Kevin Towers the Padres GM was already fired, probably for just mentioning trading for Bradley, sorry Jim, you’ll have to find another team to take Bradley..hey, maybe for Corey Patterson or Matt Murton!!??
