12/17 Hee-Seop Choi's tough climb
Here’s a link to a story about how climbing a mountain in Korea helped former Cubs first baseman Hee-Seop Choi turn around his career. It’s a nice read.

Carrie, do you recall that scary head banging collision involving Choi and Wood? I’ve always thouhght that may have been the onset of problems for Choi.
I’ll never forget it — it was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen on a ballfield. I thought it might have been a factor, too. He never lost his love of the game, and it’s nice to read something positive about Big Choi.
Yep, Big Choi. I had high hopes for him and to this day, as ironic as this sounds coming from a Hendry bashin’ fan I still think it was one of only two very good moves by Hendry, one of the best by any GM actually. The other one being Ramirez and Lofton for Jose Hernandez and Bobby Hill???
Am I right? WHAT HAPPENED TO HENDRY?? Argghhh!!!
