3/12 D-Lee scratched

First baseman Derrek Lee was scratched from Friday’s lineup because of a bruise on the top of his left foot. His status was day to day.

Lee fouled a ball off his foot in the fourth inning Wednesday in the Cubs’ game against the San Francisco Giants. He could be back in the lineup as early as Saturday, Cubs manager Lou Piniella said.

Bobby Scales and Brad Snyder, who collided in shallow right field Thursday chasing a fly ball, both survived. Scales started at second on Friday. Snyder has a bruised thigh but did make the trip to Las Vegas for the Cubs’ split squad games against the White Sox.

Carrie, Is there any chance that Scales will make the roster this year?? Is he having a good enough spring? I don’t know what his numbers are in spring, but I believe he is at least as good as Baker defensively and Baker has really struggled this spring offensively. I must admit, I would really like to see him on the Cubs bench. What do you think?

I’ve been surfing on-line more than 3 hours lately, but I never discovered any interesting
article like yours. It is beautiful value enough for me.
In my opinion, if all site owners and bloggers made just right content
material as you did, the net will probably be much more helpful than ever before.
