Bobby Scales was packing his gear bag for Sunday’s road trip to Goodyear, just as he’s done for years. But when he got to the ballpark, he discovered he’d packed two shoes — but both were for his left foot. He ended up borrowing a right shoe from pitcher John Gaub, which wasn’t real comfortable because it had a pitcher’s toe.
“That’s why Bobby can’t dance — he has two left feet,” one of the Cubs coaches said.
