4/2 Ted Lilly's schedule
Ted Lilly will make his next rehab start early Sunday at Fitch Park, and throw 60 pitches. The left-hander told Lou Piniella he’d like to continue his work for the Triple-A Iowa team, and he could start there on April 9.
“I talked to Theodore about this and he would like to pitch in Triple-A,” Piniella said.
It isn’t always warm in Des Moines in April.
“The only place we have that’s warm weather is [Class A] Daytona Beach and it hasn’t been that warm there either,” Piniella said.
If Lilly is rehabbing with Iowa, he can stay in Chicago, then fly to Des Moines for his starts.
