4/15 Minor matters: Iowa Cubs win
Thomas Diamond struck out five to pick up his first win as the Iowa Cubs beat Memphis, 7-5, on Thursday. Jason Dubois hit his third homer of the young season to back Diamond, and Welington Castillo hit a solo shot. John Gaub picked up the save, pitching one inning. Former Cubs pitcher Rich Hill, now with Memphis, took the loss. He gave up seven runs on 10 hits over five innings.
