4/19 Ted Lilly update – 1st inning
Here’s an update on Ted Lilly’s rehab outing with Class A Peoria Monday night vs. Burlington. In the first, Lilly walked the leadoff batter, then struck out the next hitter. Burlington’s Will Myers tripled, and Lilly struck out the next two batters to end the inning.
The lefty is batting ninth, and the first Chiefs starting pitcher to hit since 1987. The Class A team uses the designated hitter.
