4/22 Lineup & Ramirez
Jeff Baker started at third in place of Aramis Ramirez on Thursday so Ramirez could work with hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo.
“He’s been struggling,” Lou Piniella said of Ramirez, who was hitting .131 and has struck out 21 times. “That’s the baffling thing because he’s never really struck out. I don’t have an explanation for it. He’s always made good contact.”
The lineup for the series finale is:
SS Theriot
3B Baker
1B Lee
CF Byrd
RF Nady
LF Soriano
C Soto
2B Fontenot
P Gorzelanny
– Carrie Muskat

Could it just be that when he should have been working his nuts off in live batting practise during Spring Training he opted out?
The older you get the more you have to practise to keep up with the young ones, not the opposite.
Being a veteran shouldn’t make you immune from hard work.

i think rameriez is hurting somehow and not telling pinella about it,and also how can you pay a hitting coach that much money and look at all the cubs runners left on base in every game.rameriez is a very proud man he would run through a brick wall for you, but don,t be a hero,it,s a team thing
