5/1 Fukudome's streak
Kosuke Fukudome went 2-for-4 on Saturday for his second straight multi-hit game. He’s hit safely in five straight and eight of his last 10. He also hit two doubles, the fourth time he’s done that and first since May 12, 2009, against San Diego.
“He’s a very good hitter now and he’s working with Rudy [Jaramillo], too,” Alfonso Soriano said of Fukudome. “He’s a totally different hitter now.”
OK, but what about the Japanese outfielder’s English? Is it a little better?
“It’s OK,” Soriano said. “He makes a little joke sometimes.”
