5/2 Minor matters
Andrew Cashner gave up two runs on four hits over six innings in Tennessee’s 4-2 win over Chattanooga on Saturday. The Smokies now are 17-6. Russ Canzler hit a two-run, two-out pinch-hit homer.
Jay Jackson gave up two runs on five hits over six innings but took the loss as Omaha edged Iowa, 2-1. Class A Daytona lost its fourth in a row, losing to Clearwater, 7-5. Rebel Ridling had two hits, both homers, and two RBIs.
Peoria edged Clinton, 3-2, and improved to 11-0 at home. Jeff Antigua gave up one run on three hits over six innings and struck out six.
