5/11 Happy Mother's Day — again
The Cubs were in Cincinnati on Sunday for Mother’s Day but on Tuesday will team up with Major League Baseball and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to raise awareness about the fight against breast cancer. Cubs honorary bat girl Jolan Saviano of Arlington Heights, IL, will take part in an on-field pre-game ceremony. On Sunday, the Cubs players used special pink Louisville Slugger bats, which will be auctioned off on MLB.com at a later date. Proceeds will go to Komen for the Cure.
