5/11 Lineup vs Marlins

Lou Piniella made what he called “subtle” lineup changes Tuesday night. Kosuke Fukudome led off for the second time this year and Marlon Byrd took over in the third spot. Byrd has hit everywhere in the lineup in his career, and has a career .283 average in the No. 3 spot. Derrek Lee was dropped to fourth, followed by Aramis Ramirez. The first three hitters in the lineup are hitting .300 plus.

Here’s the lineup:

RF Fukudome

2B Theriot

CF Byrd

1B Lee

3B Ramirez

LF Soriano

C Soto

SS Castro

P Wells

— Carrie Muskat

Inspirational again.

We can’t clean up or RBI so let’s put the two lowest averages at 4 and 5.

To say that Hendry and Lou are treating us fans with contempt is an understatement.

Where is Colvin’s hot bat? Where is the Tracy batting at .273? Oh I forgot they sent him down and kept a relic batting at .150 in his place.

What happened to patience at the plate and working the count?

A nobody pitcher is averaging 11 pitches an innings against the Cubs. Lou, you are the weakest link… (well nearly aside from Hendry!)

i would like to know how long lou can keep a 3rd baseman hitting a big .157 in the lineup send him to triple A and get someone that can hit this is sad pay my grandma 1 million a year she could hit that big avg.

Does Lou think he’ll be struck dead if (God forbid) he bats Ramirez 7 or 8???? Or bench him for a WEEK??? This could get even uglier real fast. What WOULD Hendry have to do to get fired? Trade for Milton Bradley again???

The biggest problem we have is Hendry seems to be untouchable whatever he does!
