5/16 Lilly's 100th start

Sunday was Ted Lilly’s 100th start with the Cubs and the lefty notched his third quality start of the season. He did not get a decision in Chicago’s 4-3 win over Pittsburgh but says he’s feeling better. Lilly is still building up arm strength. He had arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder in early November.

“I think I’m still trying to figure it out a little bit but that’s part of it,” Lilly said. “I’m sure there are other guys who have to go out there and battle. As long as we’re winning, I feel I’m going to go out there and do everything I can to keep us in the game.”

Lilly has gone at least seven innings in back to back starts for the first time since last Sept. 18-30.
