5/18 Minor matters
Andrew Cashner gave up one run on six hits over six innings to help Iowa beat Reno, 9-2. Cashner also had a hit and drove in two runs. Chad Tracy homered, his first, and Darwin Barney had three hits and scored three runs.
Josh Vitters, Blake Lalli and Ty Wright each homered to help Tennessee beat Huntsville 9-2 in the first game of a doubleheader. Chris Carpenter won the second game, giving up three runs, two earned, on six hits over six innings in an 8-3 victory. Russ Canzler homered in the second game.
Rafael Dolis gave up one earned run on three hits in 5 2/3 innings but took the loss in Daytona’s 5-2 loss to St. Lucie. Dolis struck out four. Rebel Ridling had two hits.
