5/19 Caridad on DL; Stevens up
The Cubs placed Esmailin Caridad on the 15-day disabled list for the second time this year and have recalled right-hander Jeff Stevens. Caridad missed time April 12-May 8 because of a strained right forearm. He’s now on the DL because of a right elbow strain. Stevens had a 2.60 ERA in 12 relief appearances for Triple-A Iowa.
