5/20 Minor matters

Alberto Cabrera failed to get out of the first inning in Double-A Tennessee’s 11-3 loss to Huntsville Wednesday. Cabrera gave up five runs on five hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning and took the loss. Russ Canzler and Ty Wright each homered.

Daytona rallied for a 7-2 win over St. Lucie. Kyler Burke had three hits, including his first homer of the season, and five RBIs. Rebel Ridling had two hits and extended his hit streak to four games and Brett Jackson reached base three times, with a walk and two hits, including a triple.

D.J. Fitzgerald had four hits, including a double and triple, to help Peoria beat Wisconsin, 11-7. Nelson Perez had two hits and four RBIs.

The Iowa Cubs had Wednesday off and open an eight-game homestand Thursday against Colorado Springs.
