5/29 Lineup change – no Soto
Geovany Soto was scratched from the Cubs lineup Saturday because he’s feeling under the weather. Koyie Hill will start at catcher and Starlin Castro will move up to the 7th spot. So, here’s new lineup:

There seems to be no disagreement that Silva is the first Cubs pitcher to start the season 6-0 since Ken Holtzman in 1967. However, articles on MLB.com and broadcasters on FOX are claiming that Silva is trying to become the first Cubs arm to start 7-0 since Jim Weaver in 1934. But Holtzman eventually went 9-0 in 1967, what’s the deal?
the distinction is which pitchers opened 6-0 as a starter and who did so as a reliever. And, also who did so to start his career with the Cubs. Silva is the 11th pitcher to begin his Cubs career 6-0 and the fifth to do so solely as a starter. He’s now trying to become the first Cubs starter to open the season 7-0 since Jim Weaver did so in 1934.
The Cubs just issued a correction. Ken Holtzman was last to start 7-0 (he was 9-0 in 1967)
