6/3 Minor matters
Iowa’s game against Round Rock was postponed because of rain. The two teams were to play a doubleheader Thursday. Lefty J.R. Mathes was to start the first game.
Marquez Smith hit an 11th inning home run to lift Tennessee to an 8-7 win over Birmingham on Wednesday. Smith also hit a double and drove in two runs. Matt Spencer hit his sixth homer of the year, and Ty Wright had four hits, including two doubles.
Rafael Dolis gave up two runs on seven hits over five innings in Daytona’s 4-1 loss to Charlotte. Rebel Ridling and DJ LeMahieu each had two hits.
Jeff Antigua gave up two runs on four hits over five innings in Peoria’s 11-3 win over South Bend. The Chiefs collected 16 hits, including home runs by Charles Thomas and D.J. Fitzgerald. Thomas had four hits, Jae-Hoon Ha had three.

i think it’s very arrogant to even suggest that any Cub deserves to be on the all-star team….this is the most mediocre group of Cubs I have seen since the Eddie Miksis, Emil Verban days..
