6/17 First round pick update
The Cubs appear to be close to signing No. 1 pick Hayden Simpson, selected 16th overall in the First-Year Player Draft. Simpson, a right-handed pitcher from Southern Arkansas, could be at Wrigley Field this weekend to announce the signing.
The Cubs have agreed to terms with 11 of their picks from the June Draft, including Hunter Ackerman, taken in the fourth round out of Louisburg College.

I am from Little Rock near where our first round pick comes from. He is almost a legend around here. Wiry young man who has plenty of time to put on weight. How he will pan out is beyond me but I assure you the Cubs have just acquired a lot of new fans in Cards country. I think the young many will pan out. Good pick.
