6/19 Minor matters
J.R. Mathes gave up three runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings in Iowa’s 6-3 win over Albuquerque on Friday. The I-Cubs now are tied for first in the Northern Division. Brad Snyder was a home run shy of the cycle and Micah Hoffpauir had two hits.
Tennessee scored the go-ahead run on a balk in the ninth to beat Mobile, 3-2. Ty Wright had three hits and Tony Thomas had a RBI single in the sixth.
Brooks Raley threw six shutout innings to help Daytona beat Dunedin, 12-4. Raley struck out five. Michael Brenley hit his second homer of the season.
Ryan Searle gave up two runs, one earned, on three hits over six innings in Peoria’s 7-2 win over Quad Cities. Logan Watkins and Nelson Perez each had two hits.
