* The Cubs are a season-low 11 games under .500 for the first time since the end of the 2006 season (66-96).
* With Thursday’s 3-2, 10-inning loss, the Cubs have dropped their 11th straight series-opening game. It’s the longest streak since losing 15 straight July 23-Sept. 10, 1999.
