7/21 Minor matters

Casey Coleman gave up two runs on seven hits over seven innings in Iowa’s 9-2 win over Oklahoma City in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday. Micah Hoffpauir and Bryan LaHair each hit two home runs. For Hoffpauir, it was his first multi-homer game of the season. In the second game, Hung-Wen Chen gave up three runs on seven hits over five innings for the win in the second game, a 4-3 decision. Sam Fuld hit a home run and had two RBIs.

Marwin Gonzalez hit a two-out walkoff RBI single in the ninth to lift Tennessee to a 4-3 win over Montgomery.

Michael Brenly extended his hitting streak to 19 games in Daytona’s 6-2 win over Charlotte. Brenly had three hits and is batting .405 in his streak.

Juan Yasser Serrano threw five shutout innings in Boise’s 3-0 win over Spokane.

Hunter Ackerman gave up two runs on four hits over two innings in Mesa’s 9-8 win over the Mariners. Ryan Cuneo had four hits and two RBIs.
