The Cubs finished the month of July at 12-14 following Saturday’s 6-5 loss to the Rockies. Dating back to 2006, the Cubs have posted winning records in July four straight years. Last year, the Cubs were 18-9 in July.
* Chicago scored 125 runs in the month, which ranked fourth in the National League, and the 33 home runs ranked third.
* Pitchers combined for a 5.25 ERA in the month (136 earned runs in 233 innings), which ranked 15th in the NL.
