Aramis Ramirez, Geovany Soto and Blake DeWitt each hit a three-run homer in the Cubs’ 15-3 win over the Brewers Wednesday. According to Elias Sports Bureau, it’s the first time in 23 years three different Cubs players hve hit a home run of at least three runs in the same game at Wrigley Field. The last time was June 3, 1987, when Keith Moreland and Brian Dayett hit grand slams and Ryne Sandberg added a three-run homer.
The Cubs are the fifth team since 1955 to snap a losing streak of at least seven games with a win of more than 12 runs. The last time the Cubs performed that feat was in 1931.
