8/6 Wells' songfest a success
Cubs pitcher Randy Wells says his first Red Dirt Music Festival, held Wednesday night in Chicago, was a success. Some of Wells’ favorite bands, including Randy Rogers and Stoney LaRue, performed at the fundraiser to benefit Childrens Memorial Hospital. The event also was the first time Wells heard his song, “Dresses,” which he co-wrote with LaRue, performed live. Expect another concert next year. “I think it turned out well,” Wells said Friday.
