8/10 Hoffpauir & Castillo update
Both Micah Hoffpauir and Welington Castillo arrived Tuesday night in time to take some batting practice with the last group prior to the Cubs game against the Giants. They were called up from Triple-A Iowa to take Derrek Lee’s and Geovany Soto’s spots on the roster. Hoffpauir was starting Tuesday and batting third while Castillo will start Wednesday.
Did Hoffpauir know about the tough assignment against the Giants’ Tim Lincecum?
“I had the trainers text him to let him know,” Cubs acting manager Alan Trammell said.
