Think it’s a little weird for Mike Fontenot to be traded from the Cubs to the Giants when both teams are playing each other? The Giants actually have acquired players twice before from teams during series. On July 20, 2008, San Francisco acquired Ray Durham from Milwaukee when the Giants were playing the Brewers. On July 29, 2009, San Francisco dealt for Freddy Sanchez from Pittsburgh when the Giants were playing the Pirates.

Not weird at all when they consider Mike’s throw out at home Monday to put the game in extra innings and his two run pinch hit double Tuesday which won the game for the Cubs. If you can’t beat em, buy em or trade for him.
