8/20 Wells, Cashner & Demp events

Randy Wells will be at the Fannie May store today from 7-8:30 p.m. CT to sign autographs. Chicago’s own chocolatier, Fannie May, will donate 100 percent of the profits from the sale of their ice cream today to Cubs Care, a fund of the McCormick Foundation.

* Also today, Andrew Cashner will show off his cooking skills at the Meijer store in Orland Park, Ill., from 6-8 p.m. CT. Cashner will be joined by Healthy Living advisor Kristen Johnson, and they will put on a cooking demonstration from the Chicago Cubs Cookbook. After the demonstration, Cashner will sign autographs. The store is located at 15701 71st Court, Orland Park, Ill.

* The Cubs wives are scheduled to help sell the cookbook Sept. 6 at the Jewel Food Store on Ashland Ave. in Chicago near Wrigley Field at 12:30 p.m. CT.

The Chicago Cubs Cookbook features more than 60 recipes from players past, present and future, plus Lou Piniella, coaches and others. There also are recipes from some of
Chicago’s top restaurants, including Hub 51, Wildfire, Stanley’s and Harry Caray’s. And
there’s a history of food at Wrigley Field. Proceeds from cookbook sales benefit the Ryan and Jenny Dempster Foundation.

Can’t wait? You also can purchase a copy at cubs.com.
