The Chicago Cubs and Cubs
wives raised about 23,000 pounds of food for the Lakeview Pantry Saturday during the eighth annual Food Drive at Wrigley Field prior to
the game. Since its inception in 2003, the food drive has raised more than 106,000 pounds of
food.
* The Cubs wives will sell copies of the Cubs Cookbook on Monday at the Jewel food store on Ashland Ave. in Chicago. Proceeds benefit the Ryan Dempster foundation.
