9/14 Six-man rotation
As of now, the Cubs have a six-man rotation. Tom Gorzelanny will return next week, possibly as early as Wednesday against the Giants. It’ll be Ryan Dempster, Casey Coleman and Jeff Samardzija this weekend in Miami, and then an off day Monday. Either Carlos Zambrano or Randy Wells will start Tuesday against the Giants. Mike Quade said there’s a chance one of the pitchers will be skipped to get an extra day of rest.
