2/2 Wind damages Wrigley
Strong winds gusting up to 70 mph blew some pieces of a structural panel off the roof of Wrigley Field’s press box during Tuesday’s blizzard. Debris was scattered on the ground outside the 97-year-old ballpark with the biggest chunk landing under the marquee at Clark and Addison streets. The panel is made of fiber board. Cubs media relations director Peter Chase said a section of the roof above the press box of the 97-year-old ballpark came loose in the severe winds. He said the damage was not believed to be extensive.
The Cubs worked with the city to make sure there were no public safety related problems. Streets were closed around the ballpark Tuesday night around 5:30 p.m. CT because of the blowing debris. The streets were reopened overnight. There were no other reports of damage to the ballpark.

Still not as much damage as Hurricane Hendry has caused.
