3/4 Colvin at first

Tyler Colvin is a triple shy of the cycle after three at-bats Friday in his first game at first. He hit a solo homer in the first, a RBI single in the third, and a RBI double in the fifth. His only muff? He dropped the flip from the Cubs dugout at the end of the first inning. Someone always throws a ball to the first baseman after an inning ends so he can have it in his glove to start infield throws for the next inning. Just one more thing he has to be ready for.

I like Colvin and this is not to say he is the next Billy Williams but we KNOW we won’t see his kind of RBI production from Fukodome. So…what are the OTHER things that he must be ready for? I wonder….a starting job in RF? Only if Quade is a man of his word and not just another Hendry es man. There is hope, but the jury is out, will Quade’s actions match his words?
